Anthony Dorosz //
Overview
Andrew Dorosz is Technical Underwriter for UC-UW, bringing nine years of stop-loss underwriting and claims experience from Carbon Stop Loss Solutions (formerly IOA Re).
His career in stop-loss began when he joined what was then IOA Re, initially with the goal of building a career and getting on his feet. He grew up with a family connection to the stop-loss business, with an early awareness of the industry through his father’s career in the field.
What started as an opportunity to learn the business quickly became a genuine passion. Andrew worked across nearly every area of the stop-loss department, building a well-rounded understanding of the industry before ultimately specializing in claims and underwriting.
For the past nine years, Andrew has focused on underwriting, developing into a seasoned technical underwriter with deep expertise in risk evaluation, pricing, and claims-informed decision-making. As Andrew puts it, “I’ve built my expertise from the ground up, and along the way gained a genuine appreciation for the people and relationships that make this industry unique.”
That grounding has shaped how Andrew underwrites today – with strong technical judgment and a genuine respect for the relationships that make this business work.
Andrew brings that experience, perspective, and passion to his role at UC-UW, with the goal of helping build.
